Andy D’Andrea, P. Eng. is a highly experienced engineer in the nuclear sector, with a strong background in leadership and advocacy. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Building Science Practice Certificate.

Andy’s career began at Ontario Hydro (now Ontario Power Generation), where he contributed to nuclear waste management and reactor safety. He later served as a Senior Technical Engineer at Pickering Nuclear Station, providing safety support and risk management.

Beyond his technical roles, Andy demonstrated leadership as Executive Vice-President – Member Services for the Society of United Professionals, managing budgets, leading training programs, and fostering member engagement.

Bilingual in English and French, Andy has been a key spokesperson on nuclear safety and advocates for transparency and responsible leadership in Canadian politics.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys family life with his spouse and four children, volunteers in youth soccer, and serves on the building maintenance committee at St. Benedict’s Church in Etobicoke. He has a passion for home renovations, cycling, snowboarding, camping, and hiking.
