Born in 1984 in Laval, Daniel Gervais grew up in various parts of Montreal and its surroundings before settling in Town of Mount Royal. His passion for politics emerged early—at just ten years old, he wrote a poem about the 1995 referendum.
After studying economics, business, and political science, Daniel left university to help grow a family- and friend-run private company, which was later successfully acquired. Building on that success, he co-founded a Canadian pet care company and spent eight years in China managing operations and quality control for what became the world’s leading and top-rated dog waste bag brand.
Despite his professional achievements, his time abroad took him away from what he values most—his young son. In 2022, he left his job to fully dedicate himself to his son’s upbringing.
Daniel specializes in efficiency, streamlining, cost reduction, and supply chain management. His main political goal is to present a balanced budget and enshrine it into law. He is also actively involved in volunteering, serving on the EMSB parent committee and the Dunrae Gardens Elementary School governing board.
