Michael Henry is the People’s Party of Canada candidate for Kamloops–Shuswap–Central Rockies. A fourth-generation Revelstokian, his deep roots in the region date back to 1914 when his great-grandparents immigrated from Scotland. Raised with strong values of hard work, integrity, and community, he has built a successful career in business, construction management, and energy efficiency.
Michael began his career as a certified tradesman, working on the Revelstoke Hydro Electric Dam Project before moving to the Lower Mainland in 1985. There, he gained experience in industrial trades, including plumbing, pipefitting, and gas fitting, before founding and running his own mechanical contracting business for a decade. His expertise in energy efficiency led him to manage large-scale projects across Canada and the U.S., including at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. In 2007, his team received the Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management at the White House.
In addition to his professional experience, Michael holds a Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management (Honors) from BCIT and a Master of Science in International Construction Management from the University of Bath, UK. He is also a member of professional organizations such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Institute of Asset Managers.
Michael entered politics to push for greater government accountability, protect Canadian sovereignty, and defend individual freedoms. He is committed to reducing government overreach, ensuring responsible fiscal policies, and standing up for the rights of Canadians. As the PPC candidate for Kamloops–Shuswap–Central Rockies, he is ready to bring principled leadership and real change to Ottawa.
