Nicholas Bonderoff is a Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the resource industry. Originally from British Columbia, he graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Mining Engineering and has worked across Canada, from the Prairies to Newfoundland and across the territories, gaining experience in the resource sector and serving with the Canadian Armed Forces. He lives and works in Sudbury, managing an engineering and environmental team at a consulting firm, and is deeply committed to the community’s growth and success. In addition to his engineering career, he is an entrepreneur, owning and operating Laurentian Manor, a Bed & Breakfast in Sudbury.

Nicholas serves as a Company Commander with the Irish Regiment of Canada in the Army Reserve, leading soldiers and overseeing training. Prior to serving with the Irish Regiment, he worked as an Engineer Officer, where one of his notable achievements was leading the construction of a pedestrian suspension bridge across the Moose Jaw River for the Trans Canada Trail, enhancing connectivity for local communities and trail users.

An outdoor enthusiast, he completed the 4,265-km thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, paddleboarded the entire length of the Rideau Canal, and enjoys cross-country skiing. He supports responsible resource development that balances economic growth with practical environmental considerations.\

Known for his pragmatic, hands-on approach, Nicholas focuses on finding practical solutions to real-world challenges. As a PPC candidate, he is committed to advocating for Sudbury, strengthening its industries, and ensuring a prosperous future for the region. He believes in making government more efficient and accountable while championing personal freedoms and reducing government overreach, ensuring Canadians have greater control over their lives and decisions.
