“As a candidate for the People’s Party of Canada, I believe in a future where governments put Canadians FIRST. Politicians and bureaucrats need to get out of the way, rather than trying to control every aspect of our life. I am committed to a country where we are UNITED in pursuit of common goals, rather than divided in identity politics. Let’s work together to return Canada to its rightful status as ‘The True North Strong and Free’.”
Dedicated to freedom, accountability, and common sense governance, Wayne Baker is determined to ensure that Canadians regain control of their future and that government serves the people—not the other way around.
Replace the costly and burdensome licensing system with an efficient lifetime certification system for firearms owners following mandatory vetting, safety training and testing. To avoid criminalizing peaceful and responsible gun owners and guarantee their property rights, this system will legalize simple possession of firearms for certified Canadians as long as they use their firearms lawfully and don't commit some other crime that would disqualify them from firearms ownership.
Substantially lower the total number of immigrants and refugees Canada accept every year, from 500,000 planned by the Liberal government in 2025, to between 100,000 and 150,000 in normal circumstances, or even lower in crisis situations, depending on economic and other circumstances.
