Paul joined the People’s Party of Canada in November 2018. As a founding member, he passionately believes in the party’s values of freedom, fairness, respect, responsibility, and common-sense policies, recognizing how these principles would benefit both Canadians and Canada.
Born on April 17, 1962, and raised in what was then the small town of Trenton, Ontario, Paul enlisted in the military at the age of 25. He served as a combat soldier with 2 RCR out of CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick. After returning from a UN tour in Cambodia in 1993, he changed trades to become a finance clerk. He was later posted to CFB Calgary, Alberta, in 1994, where he served the remainder of his military career. Following his honorable discharge in 1997, Paul settled in the small town of Black Diamond, now known as Diamond Valley after merging with neighboring Turner Valley.
Since leaving the military, Paul has been self-employed in residential construction, weathering the negative impacts caused by poor government policy and constant bureaucratic overreach.
As a military veteran, Paul understands the importance of personal discipline, which has shaped his unwavering commitment to principled decisions. He is an advocate for fair play and honesty, values he has defended both personally and professionally throughout his life. He is fearlessly outspoken and stands by his convictions, ready to defend anyone who is treated unfairly—without hesitation.
As a single parent of two sons, Paul understands personal sacrifice and the resilience required to navigate life’s challenges. He is the proud grandfather of two, through his eldest son who is transitioning from the military to a career in aviation. His younger son has recently transferred from the military police to begin his career as an RCMP officer. Paul considers his sons to be his greatest accomplishment.
Alberta has been Paul’s home for 31 years, and he is honored to serve as the People’s Party of Canada candidate for the district of Foothills, Alberta. Strong and Free.
