Richard Brent Wintringham, known as “R.B.” to his friends and many followers, is a lifelong resident of Saskatoon who cares deeply about the future of Canada. He became a public figure by speaking out against the draconian measures and governmental overreach during the Covid-19 crisis, advocating for the protection of civil liberties.
R.B. has always identified with the political left, drawing inspiration from populist figures like Tommy Douglas, Martin Luther King Jr., and Nelson Mandela, while also respecting pragmatic leaders such as John Diefenbaker and Jack Layton. He believes that the best path forward lies in finding a balance between capitalism and socialism. In his view, the left/right political paradigm is a trap that keeps citizens divided, preventing them from uniting against the establishment’s encroachment on economic and civil liberties.
Currently working as a truck driver, R.B. has also held jobs as a security guard, dock worker, and janitor. His diverse work experience gives him a strong understanding of the challenges faced by the working class, whom he considers the foundation of a functioning society.
R.B. graduated from City Park High School in 1981 and has taken courses at both the University of Saskatchewan and the Kelsey Institute. He has also been actively involved in the Saskatoon sports community, playing and coaching football, basketball, and baseball for many years.
R.B. also has a podcast on Rumble. It's called RB Ham : Beyond The Pale. He interviews a diverse group of guests, discussing everything from politics and history to popular culture. Having a dialogue with people of different perspectives helps R.B. inform his world view and hone his populist message.
A voracious reader and autodidact, R.B. is self-educated and well-informed about today’s political landscape. He believes that his working-class perspective is urgently needed in Ottawa.
If elected as the MP for Saskatoon South, R.B. Wintringham promises to bring a fresh, grassroots perspective to federal politics, prioritizing the voices of the working class and advocating for balanced and fair policies.
